Welcome to TD Helps, Ruth. We'd be glad to discuss!
When using a non-TD ATM overseas, a non-TD ATM fee may be applied. This includes balance inquiries as well as withdrawals. However, this fee may be reimbursed at the end of your statement cycle if you have a qualifying account. To take a look at our Fee Schedule and the accounts that qualify to receive a fee reimbursement, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Fees for non-TD ATM withdrawals are the only applicable fees that would be applied to your account by TD Bank when using your TD Bank Visa Debit Card.
We'd like to share with you that Cards bearing the Visa logo are accepted at locations all over the world. However, please be sure to carry more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. We'd also like to share with you a few tips to manage your money when traveling, please check out: http://bit.ly/1fO8wKy, you may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
To avoid service interruptions, we recommend placing a Travel Notification on your card prior to your trip. You are able to place a Travel Notification by calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000, visiting any TD Store during lobby hours or by sending us a secure message. To take a look at TD Stores please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you need to reach us while overseas, you can contact us 24/7 from outside the United States at 1-856-751-9000, or call us collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
We hope this information helps, Ruth and have a good afternoon!
