Hi there Rose!
Great question and thank you for stopping by today to inquire about this.
You can read more about the limits for your Visa Debit or ATM card here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ on pages 43-44. As this lists your limits per day, please keep in mind that ATMs may have their own limit per transaction. You may be required to perform more than one ATM withdrawal in order to withdraw your daily maximum. For this reason, we encourage you to use TD Bank ATMs for your withdrawals to ensure that you don't incur any fees for this. Feel free to review our current Fee Schedule at: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. Please be aware that if you use a non-TD ATM, the owner of that machine or network may assess fees in addition to any charged by TD Bank.
We understand there may be times when you may need to make a withdrawal which is higher than the standard limits set on your debit card. If you are expecting to spend more than what is permitted on your daily limit, we can offer a couple of options on how to request an increase. Please note, in order to have your debit card limit increased you must have a deposit account older than 90 days that is in a Normal status. You also must have a sufficient balance to cover the requested amount.
To increase one of the limits on your Visa Debit card, you can send us a written request via fax or Secure Message. You can send the fax to our Fulfillment Team at 856-533-1138, or please log in to your TD Bank online account at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq and use the Send a Message link after clicking the Customer Service tab. With either method, please include the following information:
• Subject: Limit Increase
• Account Number
• Debit/ATM Card Number
• Your Name
• Your Telephone Number
• A Statement indicating to 'Please increase my total daily Visa (or POS or ATM) limit to $X for the day.'
• Your signature (on faxed request)
If you prefer, you can also stop by your local TD Bank Store during lobby hours for assistance with a limit increase. For hours and locations near you, click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please note, limit increases are temporary and the transaction must be completed the same day that the limit increase is granted. If you are interested in a permanent limit increase or decrease, you must visit your local TD Store location to make the request.
We certainly hope this helps with your question, Rose.
Thanks again for getting in touch! Please click 'Reply' with any other questions and take care.
