Thanks for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Liz.
There are two different types of transfers you could make: a wire transfer, Person-to-Person transfer, or external transfer via TD Bank Online Banking.
A wire transfer can be done at any local TD bank Store and there are no limits to the amount. Please follow this link for hours and locations near you: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
To use the Person-to-Person feature, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have not enrolled yourself, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. Once you’ve enrolled for Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature. For the information on the payment methods and amounts, please check out this link: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD (Pg 3. section1.16).
Generally, all customers are supplied with our Standard Limits for the external transfer service. Usually, if you have no Insufficient Funds occurrences for 90 Days, the limit is increased to our Higher Limit automatically at the discretion of the bank. Your individual transaction limits are available once you log in to your TD Bank account online; please log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, if you are already enrolled in TD Online Banking. Click on the information icon to the right of the amount box when entering this information for a transfer.
We hope this helps answers your question, Liz. Have a great night!
