Thanks for connecting with us on TD Helps, Theresa. We appreciate you considering TD Bank for your banking needs. We'll be delighted to provide information about our accounts.
Generally speaking, there is no cost or set amount that you need to open a personal account with us. However, some personal accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. We invite you to visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd to view and compare our personal Checking accounts, or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnUfor help with selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare personal Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM; which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
To open an account you may do so online, by telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours once you decide on the account type that best suits your needs. To open the account via online, click on the "Open Account" button below the account you choose and fill in the required fields. You can open an account via telephone 24/7 by calling our Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our Banking Specialists can open the account for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank near you, if you choose to visit a Store.
If you own a small business and would like to open a business account with us here at TD Bank, we also have business products with all the features you need to help you achieve your financial goals.
In order to open a business account, the account signer(s) must visit a TD Bank Store and be present for the account opening process along with the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. For a non-resident aliens opening a business account, you will need two valid forms of ID and a W-8Ben must be completed during the account opening process. Also, be sure to bring the Tax Identification Number for your business. Although it is not required, we do recommend reaching out to the Store you intend to visit ahead of time to confirm any additional business documents that you may need to open the account.
We suggest reviewing the types of business accounts prior to visiting a Store. If you take a look here, http://bit.ly/1lWgAhe, the link shows the types of Business Checking accounts that we offer as well as any minimum amount needed to maintain the account. Our web page can even make a selection based on your needs with the Business Checking Selector tool: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw. If you have any questions while reviewing these options, a Business Banking Specialist would be happy to assist you over the telephone. You can reach them by dialing 855-278-8988.
We hope this helps, Theresa and have a great week!
