Hi Mike, thanks for reaching out to us at TD Helps! We're glad you asked about Debit Cards!
To open your own account and receive a Debit Card, you need to be at least 18 years of age. You'll also need a valid Driver's License or State I.D. and Social Security Number. You can call us anytime 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000 to open an account or get information about what kinds of accounts we offer. You can also review our accounts and even open a Checking account online here http://bit.ly/1f9fEn9. If you'd prefer, you could also step into your nearest TD Bank Store during lobby hours and discuss our accounts with a Banking Specialist. You can find the nearest location to you with our Store Locator here http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you are under the age of 18, you can always open an account with Parent or Legal Guardian. Just step into a Store during lobby hours and have your I.D.'s with you along with a birth certificate or paperwork showing Guardianship. A Banking Specialist there can help you decide which account may be best suited for you.
Hope this answers the question Mike but please contact us again if you have any more! Have a great day!
