Thanks for contacting us on TD Helps, Christine and thank you for considering TD for your daughter!
To find an account that best fits your daughter's needs, please take a look at our Checking Selector Tool: http://bit.ly/1gAWlhY and visit http://bit.ly/UbFOwS for the different types of checking accounts TD Bank offers. TD Bank also offers different types of savings accounts, for more information, take a look here: http://bit.ly/1l6nLQ7, for a personalized recommendation click here: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF. Additionally, the monthly maintenance fee is waived on a TD Simple Savings account when it is linked to a TD Student Checking account.
Individuals under the age of 18 may open a joint checking or savings account with an adult by visiting any TD Bank Store. For hours and locations near you, click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Please note, your daughter would be able to have a debit card printed during account opening with your verbal consent.
Alternatively, your daughter is eligible for the TD Go Card. The TD Go Card is a great stepping stone to an actual Checking account. Similar to a joint account, you would be able to monitor spending and help your daughter create a budget on a reloadable card. For more information on the TD Go Card please visit, http://bit.ly/1j8sgt2 .
We hope this helps and again thank you for choosing TD! If you have any other questions, please let us know.
