Thanks for writing in, Kevin.
In order to open an individual Checking account with TD Bank, you must be at least 18 years of age. As you mentioned that you are under the age of 18, we do ask that an adult accompanies you at one of our nearby TD Bank Stores to open a joint Checking account. For help locating a TD Store near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please kindly keep in mind that both of you and your parent or guardian will need to provide a valid form of identification such as Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc. and Social Security number. As you are a minor, acceptable forms of identification for minors includes; School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card.
We invite you to check out the different types of Checking accounts that we offer by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool here http://bit.ly/KmmHe7 for help choosing a Checking account that is the best fit for you.
