Welcome to TD Helps, Valentin. This is a great question, and we'll be happy to help provide you with all the options you have when wanting to pay your rent via your TD Bank account.
Based on the information you have provided, it appears that you may want to send your rent money to a company, rather than a person. The easiest way to do so would be to send them a bill payment using TD Bank's Bill Pay feature via your Online Banking. To start, you may sign onto your Online Banking by following the link provided here https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you are not currently signed up for online banking, you may visit https://go.td.com/1lqyp6r to enroll. You will need your account number, debit card number, and Social Security number to enroll.
Once you have logged into your Online Banking, please follow the steps below from the main page to access your Bill Pay, and complete this payment:
1. Click on the 'Bill Pay' tab on the top of your screen
2. Click on "Add a Company or Person" to begin
3. Click on the designated Bill Category for your needs, or you may search for your specific biller using the 'Search our Network' box located towards the center of your screen.
4. If our system is unable to find your payee, you may enter all the payment information manually by using the link that reads 'Enter the info for'
5. Enter the amount of the payment next to the name of the biller that you would like to pay.
6. Select a Payment Date
7. Click on 'Make Payments'
8. Click on 'Submit Payment'
When you opt to use our Bill Pay feature, depending on our relationship with your payee, your payment will either be made electronically, or will be sent as a physical draft check. Should your payment be sent as a draft check, the check will be mailed a few days prior to the due date you have selected to ensure it is received by your due date.
Another option you have with your Online Banking is our Send Money feature. This feature allows you to send money to any person by making a transfer to them directly. Please note that you will not be able to send funds to a company using this feature. Once enrolled, you'll be able to set up your contacts with any or all of the below delivery methods enabled.
• e-mail address • mobile phone number (for text message delivery) • account number
For text and e-mail delivery, the recipient will receive built-in directions on how to claim the money you've sent.
To use this feature, you may first log into your Online Banking from the main website. This link will bring you directly to the log in page: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you’re logged in, you must enroll in Send Money, if you have not done so already. To do so, you would select the tab that says 'Send Money' at the top of your online banking screen. Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement and confirm your email and phone number. Simply follow the prompts, and once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to send payments, and within the next three business days, the receiver will receive the funds you had sent to them.
In addition to using the Send Money feature via our main website, you may also use our Send Money feature right from your Mobile App. Once you have opened your Mobile App, you will see a section that reads 'Send Money' on the upper left hand side of your screen. If you have not done so already, after you click on this section, it will ask you to log in. Once you have logged in, simply follow the steps in order to complete this transfer.
This feature is available for most personal checking and money markets accounts. To use these services you must have an Online Banking profile with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. phone number, an active unique e-mail address, and a Social Security Number.
If at any point you need assistance, please give our Tech Support Team a call, 24/7, at 800-493-7562.
Please note, there are limits in place for your protection. If the amount you wish to send is higher than your current limits, you have the options to write a check or send a wire transfer by visiting your nearest TD Store location during lobby hours.
We hope this information was helpful, Valentin. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you, and we hope you have a great day.
Customer Service Team, Mount Laurel
