Hey Cathy, thanks for joining us today! We'd be happy to help provide details on when you may expect your deposit to be available.
When making check deposits with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits may be held for up to 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available the same day of your deposit but the remaining amount of your check deposit will be credited to your account on the following business day. A business day is any day besides Saturday, Sunday and Federal Holidays.
When making a deposit at an ATM, if your account has been opened for 90 days or longer, any check deposit made will have the first $100.00 of your daily ATM deposits immediately available in your account. Please keep in mind, that if your account has not yet been open for 90 days, the first $100.00 of an ATM deposit will not be available for withdrawal at the time of your deposit.
Additionally, any deposits made through Mobile Banking will not have the first $100 available on the same business day. Typically, the full amount of your deposit will be made available the following business day. We invite you to visit: http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF for more details about mobile deposits.

On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to your deposit. Please keep in mind, although the funds may be available under TD's funds availability policy, the check does need to be verified though the originating Bank.
