Since you asked, we'd like to let you know that there is no fee at this time to close an account. If you still choose to close your account and it has a remaining balance, we'd recommend visiting any TD Bank Store near you to withdraw the funds and request that the account be closed. Please visit the above link to find a convenient location for you.
If your balance is zero, you may also reach us at the number just mentioned, or send a Secure Message via your Online Banking account to request that the account be closed. You can log in at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq and click the Customer Service tab. You'll find a link to Send a Message there, where you can enter your request. Please be sure to specify the account number you wish to close if you choose this method. By phone or secure message, please allow 2-3 business days for your account closing request to be completed.
