Thanks for your question about transactions today, Seid. Let's review them together!
Please know that there are a variety of different transaction types!
For transactions that use your account and routing number such as checks or ACH debits, you are able to place a stop payment to prevent these items from applying to your account.
You can place a stop payment using Online Banking! To start, sign in here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq. After you're signed in, please visit the Customer Service tab followed by Stop Payment. Keep in mind that you will be asked for the payee, dollar amount, date the payment was scheduled/written and the check number.
If you have any trouble, feel free to reach us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or by visiting any TD Store. To take a look at TD Stores near you, please visit here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Keep in mind that there may be a fee associated with a stop payment. You can learn more about fees for your account here: https://go.td.com/2kFZ5mK.
Debit card transactions work a little differently. In most cases, a stop payment is unable to be placed on a debit card transaction. You are able to connect with the merchant directly to have them cancel the authorization. Alternatively, you are able to wait until the transaction applies and then submit a dispute with TD by connecting with us at your local Store or by calling 24/7.
If your debit card transaction is recurring, you are able to call us 24/7 to place a stop payment.
We hope this helps, Seid, and have a great morning.
