My son is a minor and has checks made payable to him. He has a savings account. Should he endorse the checks or me, I am his guardian. Thanks.

Welcome to TD Helps this morning, Beth!
This is a fantastic question.
Here at TD Bank, should you have checks in your possession that are made payable to one of your children, you have a couple different options available to you when looking to deposit these funds into an account, and we'll be happy to review all your options with you!
First, as you mentioned that your son is a minor, if you would prefer to have these checks deposited into your account, you may simply endorse the back of the checks with 'Parent of Minor', followed by your signature. As you also mentioned that your son has his own account, he may also endorse the checks himself, with his signature, to be deposited into his own account, or he may also endorse the back of the checks with 'For Deposit Only.'
Regardless of the method you choose, as these checks are made payable to your son, we'd like to recommend performing this deposit at a TD Store location with one of our knowledgeable Tellers. If you'd like, you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information. If you have any additional questions or concerns in regard to your son's checks, you're always welcome to connect with your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, to speak with a Customer Service Representative.
Our Banking Specialists are also here to help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000.
We hope this helped to clear up any confusion, Beth, and please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you!
