Welcome to TD Helps, Kevin. Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps.
Before we begin going into what is needed for the account opening process, prior to opening your joint account, we invite you to view the different types of accounts TD Bank has to offer. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM;which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you've decided on the Checking account type that best suits you and your girlfriend's needs, you can open a joint Checking account together by visiting any TD Bank Store location near you during lobby hours. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find TD Bank near you. Please make sure both parties, including you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
If one of you or your girlfriend is a Non-US resident and does not have SSN at this present time, you will need to bring two forms of identification with you and stop by your local TD Bank store during our lobby hours to set up your new account. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature - State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature - Foreign Driver's License with Photo - US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date - College ID with Photo - Alien Registration Card with Photo - Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Additionally, noticing your location, we'd like to let you know that you’ve connected with TD Bank here in the US. If you were looking to reach out to our friends from up North, no worries- we'd be happy to help get you to the right place! Feel free to check out: http://bit.ly/1eHnvtF as our friend, Jasmine, provided details to a Customer who had a similar inquiry. If you have any other questions regarding a TD Canada trust account, you may join their conversation by selecting the "Reply" link.
We hope this helps and hope you have a great day!
