I opened a checking account with you. I would like to get a debit card for this account

There are a couple options on getting a new debit. You can contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 and one of our Specialists can order a debit card for you and have it mailed to your address. Please note that it can take 7-10 business days for shipping. If you need your debit card sooner than it coming in the mail, you're more than welcome to visit a TD Bank Store and we'll make one for you within minutes. Once at the Store, if you have already ordered a new debit card which is currently being mailed, please ask the Store representative to close it since it will no longer be useful once you activate the card you will receive at the Store.

I opened a checking account with you on October 7th. how long will it take to get my debit card in the mail from this date

As our friend Cameron mentioned above, once a debit card has been requested, it may take anywhere from 7-10 business days to be delivered. It's important to note that this time frame will depend on the postal service, and may vary if your debit card is being shipped internationally.

If you currently have access to your Online Banking, you may also send us a Secure Message. To send a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'. If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
