Welcome to TD Helps, Ismael. We'd be glad to discuss checks with you.
Once you provide a check to an individual or business, we apologize as we are unable to place a hold on it. Please know that when you post date a check, you are making an arrangement between yourself and the payee. It is their responsibility to not cash/deposit the check before the date it is written for.
Though we are unable to place a hold on a check that you've written, we are able to place a stop payment. A stop payment will prevent the check from being cashed by the payee. If you'd like to stop payment on a check you have written that hasn't been presented to your account for payment yet, please give us a call 24/7 to speak with a Banking Specialist at 888-751-9000. We would be happy to assist you in placing the stop payment upon account verification. Please keep in mind that depending on your Checking account type, there may be a fee applied for a stop payment. Please visit: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to view our current Fee Schedule.
You may also place a stop payment via Online Banking. To request a stop online, you will need to first log in to your Online Banking account. If you have personal TD accounts and are signed up for our retail Online Banking, please click here http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. If you are a TD Bank BusinessDirect user, please direct your browser to http://bit.ly/1rvBmq8. Please use the Customer Service tab and locate the Stop Payment link to continue.
In addition, you may also stop by your nearest TD Bank Store location to request the stop payment request in person. To take a look at TD Stores near you please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Ismael and have a good day.
