For Medicaid purposes I need to remove my husband's name off our joint Account. How do I go about removing his name?

Thanks for visiting us at TD Helps, Irving!
With joint accounts, all signers have 100% ownership over the account. Because of this, one signer cannot remove the other's access to the account.
If you need an individual account with no other signers, the joint account will need to closed and a new account opened in your name only. We'd be happy to do this for you in any of our Stores. To find a TD Bank Store near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. We may also be able to complete this for you by phone. Just give us a call at 888-751-9000. We have representatives available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help!
We look forward to hearing from you soon, Irving! Take care.
