Thanks for your question, Carla! We'd be glad to help.
In order to wire funds from another institution to TD Bank, typically you'd have to speak with your institution to initiate the wire. As you mention that your bank does not provide this service, we do have an alternative for you.
The TD Bank account holder is able to use Online Banking and Person-to-Person Payments to request funds from individuals who bank outside of TD. In order to use Person-to-Person Payments you must have a U.S. address, phone number and a Social Security Number as well as a unique email address. The TD Bank account holder must also be enrolled in Online Banking to request funds or make a transfer.
If the account holder has met all the requirements listed above and they're enrolled in Online Banking, please log in here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq to begin. Next, please follow the steps below:
- First, you must enroll in the service. To do so, you would select the tab that says Person-to-Person Payments at the top of your Online Banking screen.
- Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you.
- Next we will request you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process.
If you have any trouble enrolling or scheduling a transfer, feel free to reach out to our Tech Support Specialists directly 24/7 at 800-493-7562.
Please know that there may be fees associated with Person-to-Person Payments. To learn more about any fees that may apply, please visit here: http://go.td.com/1cTejgt.
We hope this helps, Carla and have a good day.
