I accidentally gave a closed account number of mine for a wire transfer, does TD BANK still accept transfer if name doesn’t match account number

We're sorry to hear that you may have provided incorrect information to have a wire transfer credited to your TD Bank account, and we'll be more than happy to help!
Here at TD Bank, in the event that incorrect information is provided for a wire transfer, such as a closed account number, typically, the wire transfer will be returned to the sender. The transfer is generally returned within 5-10 business days; however, it's important to note that this time frame can vary depending on how the transfer was initiated, as well as the financial institution.
If you would prefer to confirm that the wire transfer was returned to the sender, you may either connect with them directly so that they may review the transaction with their financial institution, or you may also connect with one of our Banking Specialist.
