Thanks for connecting with us here on TD Helps, Man Yi.
Your account must be at a zero balance in order to close properly. In order to pay off the remaining balance, we suggest that you mail a check for the funds owed.
You would simply need to mail your deposit to the following address:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day. We recommend visiting http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ to learn more about our Funds Availability policy, starting on page 35. Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
Once your funds have been received and credited to your account, it would be necessary to contact us to request that the account be closed. You're welcome to send a Secured Message after logging in to your TD Bank online account here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Please find the Customer Service tab and use the
Send a Message link to submit your request.
If you don't have online banking that's no problem we can get you set up in no time. If you have an ATM/Debit Card and Social Security number, you can enroll your account in Online Banking at http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Once there, you will need to select "Personal" from the drop down box and complete three steps. First, you'll have to accept the Online Banking Agreement. Then, we'll ask you to enter in your personal information (Name, Social Security number, account number, etc.) and finally, you will have to set up three security questions. After those 3 steps are completed, you will have immediate access to your account(s) online.
You may also call us to place your account closing request, from outside the United States please use 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518. One of our Customer Service Representatives will be happy to assist you after account verification.
We hope the information provided help, Man Yi. Please let us know if you have any further questions and have a great day.
