Welcome to TD Helps, Susan. We would be happy to help provide details regarding your inquiry.
Typically, when a check payment is presented and there are insufficient funds in your account to cover the payment amount, there is a possibility it could be returned the day after it is presented. Whether the check is paid or returned will be at the Bank's discretion. If the check was returned, your payee will usually receive a negotiable copy of your check for redeposit. At that point, it is up to the Payee whether they would like to re-deposit the check or not.
Please note, whether it's paid or not, you may be charged an overdraft fee. For a complete list of our fee schedule please click: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
If you have any additional questions please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit any TD location to speak with a Specialist in person. To find a nearby TD as well as their hours please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
