Thanks for stopping by TD Helps tonight, Johan! We'll be sure to share some information with you regarding your account closure question.
Your account balance must be at zero in order for you to close your account. If you have remaining funds in your account, you can purchase an item, write a personal check or withdraw the remaining funds in your account to bring it to a zero balance.
Once your account reaches a zero balance, you can give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000, visit us at any TD Bank or send us a secure message through online banking to close your account. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
Please note that it can take up to 72 hours for your account to close.
We surely hope this answers your question, Johan and enjoy the rest of your night! Take care.
