You can open the account via online, telephone or at any TD Bank location during lobby hours once you decide on the account type that best suits your needs. To open the account via online click the "Open Account" tab below the account you choose and fill out the required fields. You can open an account via telephone 24/7 by calling our Customer Service at 888-751-9000 and one of our Banking Specialists can open the account for you. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you, if you prefer to speak with a Representative in person.
Keep in mind that you will need to have a few pieces of information handy regardless of how you choose to open your account. You will need a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
Once you have your account(s) set up, signing up for TD Bank Online is quick and easy. If you have an ATM/Debit Card with us, your account number and U.S. Social Security number, you can use our enrollment self-service link at: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to sign up. Once there, you will need to choose Personal from the drop down box and complete three steps. First, you'll have to accept the Online Banking Agreement. Then, we'll ask you to enter in your personal information (Name, Social Security number, account number, etc.) and finally, you will have to set up three security questions. After those 3 steps are completed, you will have immediate access to your account online.
Or, if you recently opened a Business account and would like to enroll for TD Bank BusinessDirect, and you have your ATM/debit card, please follow the link above and choose Business from the drop down box. Then, please click on "Continue" and complete the application. You will also need your Business Taxpayer Identification Number, account number, your business name, and your email address. When you are finished with the application, you will receive an email confirmation within 2 business days that contains your initial User ID and password.
If you do not have an ATM/Debit Card yet or a Social Security number; or experience issues, please contact a Specialist at 888-751-9000 who can help enroll you over the phone for your Personal account. You may also visit your local TD Bank Store for assistance with setting up your Online Banking for your Personal or Business account. Once you have enrolled in Online Banking, you can also use your mobile phone to access your account information.
