It started happening like a month ago. There are two entries for the same transaction in pending list and it disappeared in a day or two. I have called the vendor every time and there is only one entry in their system.

Welcome to TD Helps, Sunny! We'd be happy to explain.
From what you've described, this sounds like a fairly common merchant issue, especially if its continuously happening with the same company.
Duplicate transactions are not entirely uncommon and occur when your debit card is processed or swiped more than once. Generally this occurs when an error presents at the time that the card is processed, so the merchant proceeds to process it a second time. Because the error occurred on the merchants end, rather than an actual decline, two authorizations are placed on the account. However, the merchant generally only collects on the one authorization as they show only one successful charge. If this is happening each month with the same merchant, it sounds like they may have an error in their payment processing system.
While this duplicate authorization should drop off and the funds replaced in your account, as it has in the past, we may be able to remove it early for you. Just give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Our Specialists would be happy to help. Please note that while we may be able to remove the duplicate authorization, the possibility exists that it could still post. Should that occur, a dispute can be filed by calling the number above or by visiting us at a local TD Bank Store.
We hope this helps to clarify, Sunny.
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to give us a call at the number above or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc.
