Thanks for coming by TD Helps, Angelica.
As you'll be visiting Canada and are looking to obtain Canadian funds, we invite you to check out: http://bit.ly/1JAzHZu for more details. Our friend from up North answered a similar question and we believe this could help.
As you'll be travelling, we recommend connecting with us to place travel notifications on your account to avoid any interruptions while using your TD Debit Card. By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. You may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
To best assist you with placing a travel notification, please contact our 24/7 Customer Service line at 888-751-9000 to have a Customer Service Representative place a travel notification on your account. You may also send us a Secure Message through your Online Banking to do so. To send a secure message, you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." If you have not enrolled, and you have your ATM/Debit Card, account number and Social Security number, you can use our enrollment self-service link at: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to sign up. Or, please call us at the number above anytime for assistance.
If you are still in the States, you may visit us during lobby hours for additional assistance. To find a TD Bank nearby, we suggest checking out: http://bit.ly/TDStores. Additionally, we offer Foreign Exchange Services at all of our TD Bank locations. If you wish, you can visit us here in the States to obtain Canadian funds prior to your trip. Anyone may purchase or exchange foreign currency and some of our locations have limited supplies on hand. We recommend calling ahead to make sure they have the amount you're requesting is available.
If your TD Store does not have the Canadian funds available, you can place an order for the amount in which you need. When placing an order, it is important to do so prior to 3:00PM and please allow at least two business days for your order to arrive. Keep in mind that there may be fees associated with currency exchange. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We hope this helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions. Enjoy your day.
