Hope you're enjoying your time in Brazil, Bryan and we're happy to help you use your card while there.
If you received a new TD Debit Card that you'd like to activate, our Visa Debit Card activation line can be reached at 888-553-4122. You'll need your card number and the last four digits of your US Social Security number. Please see additional information about how to activate your card here: http://bit.ly/1FZhWQn.
If you're not able to access this number from Brazil or don’t have a US Social Security number, don't worry! You're more than welcome to contact us directly and we'll connect you. To get in touch with Customer Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from outside the United States, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518.
We'd also like to take this opportunity to let you know that we recommend contacting us with your travel information to prevent any decline to your card while you're away. If you haven't already done so, a Specialist can assist you when you call the numbers listed above.
A travel notification helps us recognize unauthorized transactions on your account. Please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. You may also want to review our international travel tips frequently asked questions by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1ltwDDc.
Another easy way to set a travel notification, especially since you're already in Brazil, is to send us a Secure Message from your TD Bank Online Banking account. Please log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq with your User Name and Password. You can then send us a secure message by clicking on the ''Customer Service'' tab, and using the ''Send a Message'' link. Please include your exact travel dates, destinations and any connecting flight information if applicable.
Thanks again for writing in, Bryan! Hope this helps and let us know if you have other questions.
