Hey Fern, thanks for coming by TD Helps. Sorry to hear you're having troubles using your debit card. We'll be sure to get you in the right direction so you can use your card again.
To avoid any additional interruption to your TD Visa Debit Card usage, we request that you place a travel notification on your account, if you have not already done so. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line 24/7 from an international location at 856-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect from a landline with operator assistance at 215-569-0518. If you have already placed a travel notification, you may wish to contact us so that we can verify your recent account activity and ensure your card is working as expected.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option would be to send a Secure Message using www.tdbank.com and request the travel notification be added to your account. To send a secure message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling, as well as any recent card activity for verification. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any machine that displays the VISA or PLUS logo. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country. If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible, with the TD Bank Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance.

And just in case this is in reference to your TD Bank Credit Card, to contact TD Bank Card Services from an international location, please use the toll-free collect number 706-644-3266.
Thanks again for your visit today! We welcome you back anytime with any other questions, and safe travels.
