Great to have you with us, Jacqueline, and hope you're enjoying your stay in Vancouver!
When traveling and using your TD Visa Debit card, please keep in mind that the exchange rate you receive for purchases or at any ATM is not set by the bank. Foreign exchange rates are published by the government and fluctuate daily, and customers will pay the VISA exchange rate at the time of withdrawal.
Even as that is the case, we're happy to say that TD Bank does not assess any foreign exchange fee for purchases with your TD Debit card, and as our Customer, you have access to every TD Bank and TD Canada Trust ATM from Maine to Florida and throughout Canada for free.
When using our ATMs in Canada, pleas be aware that a TD Canada Trust ATM may offer your current balance in Canadian Dollars. Should you visit there, we recommend reviewing your account balance in US Dollars by logging in to your TD Bank Online banking account at: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq, or by calling a friendly Customer Service Representative 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Also feel free to find our locations in Canada near you via this page: http://bit.ly/1woOVay.
We hope this answers your question, Jacqueline.
All the best and enjoy the rest of your trip!
