Great having you here on TD Helps and thanks for your interest in banking with us! It's our pleasure to tell you more about this process.
First, if you're not a United States citizen or resident at this time, in order to open an account with us, you will need to visit us at a TD Bank Store. If you'll be in the U.S., for hours and locations take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores. You'll also be required to provide your U.S. address at the time of account opening.
We offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts, each which have their own balance requirements if applicable. To view and compare our checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 , or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you are ready to visit a Store, as a non-US Resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a valid non-US Passport or Visa with photo and the second form of valid ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Hope the information provided here is helpful and we're looking forward to talking with you again soon!
