Thanks for reaching out to us, Lynn. We'd be glad to help.
Please know that during the account opening process online, you are able to fund your account by using another financial institution. Keep in mind that if you complete the account opening process without funding your account, this capability is no longer available. Don't worry though! You are able to make a deposit by visiting any TD Store during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
If you aren't near a TD Store, you are able to use Mobile Deposit or Bank by Mail. You are able to download our Mobile Banking App by visiting here: https://go.td.com/2gkUc4O. Once you download the App, you are able to enroll in Mobile Banking and Deposit. You will need your account number, ATM/debit card, Social Security Number and email address to sign up.
If you have any trouble, feel free to call us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or by visiting any TD Store.
To use our Bank by Mail service, all you would need to do is mail your deposit to the address below:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
We hope these options help, Lynn. Have a good day.
