We're sorry to hear that you'd like to close your account, Ann. We understand that banking needs change and we'd be glad to help with this process.
We understand your concerns about banking from overseas, but we’d hate to lose you as a Customer. There are many ways you can access your account while not in the United States. We offer Online and Mobile Banking services, which allow you to access your account 24/7. You can make deposits to your account by using TD Bank Mobile Deposit. TD Bank Mobile Deposit is available for most iPhone and Android devices and to customers of at least 90 days or longer with an active checking, savings or money market account. You can also bank with live telephone support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year by dialing 856-751-9000 or collect with operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
If you decide to close your account, we understand and would be happy to help. If your account still have funds available, you are able to send a written request to your TD Home Store to close your account.

Please be sure to provide your account number so we may issue you a check for the remaining funds in your account as well as your final statement. If you are unsure of which Store is your Home Store, take a look at: http://bit.ly/TDStores for hours and locations.
If your account balance is $0.00, you are able to call us using the numbers mentioned above to finalize your account. Similarly, if you are enrolled in Online Banking, you are able to send us a secure message. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center."
