I have lost the title and letter from TD Bank indicating that the auto loan I had originated in Oct 2008 and was paid off in Oct 2013. I need verification that the loan was paid off so that I can get a duplicate title. The DMV insists that it still shows you have a lien on the truck

Thanks for your visit to TD Helps, Mark! We can certainly help you obtain a Release of Lien for your previous Auto Loan.
To obtain this documentation, a fax is required. Please fax the following information to our Consumer Release Department at 207-753-3750:
• Your full name, address, and Social Security number • The account number, if it is available • The year, make, model and VIN, and the date it was paid off, if available • Your request for a Release of Lien • Your signature
We also recommend including your best contact number and your return fax number so that we can assist you as efficiently as possible. Please keep in mind that the turnaround time for the request is typically 3-5 business days.

Please note that if your Auto Loan was financed via TD Auto Finance, please contact a TD Auto Finance Representative for instructions to obtain your Release of Lien. They are available Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm at 1-800-556-8172 to help you.
