I am looking to open the Premier Checking account. I understand the minimum daily balance to avoid fees is $2,500. Does the account have to have that amount starting at Day 1? Or Day 30? When does the "timer" start counting?

As you mentioned that you were interested in opening a TD Premier Checking account, please know that you will not be required to make any immediate deposits into your new account. The minimum balance requirement and maintenance fee will be waived for the first statement cycle on your account! After this statement cycle passes, you'll want to ensure you are maintaining the minimum daily balance to avoid a maintenance fee.
