Hello Shameem, it is a pleasure to have you join us here on the TD Helps community.
We would be more than happy to walk you through the process of writing a check.
First you will need to write the date one the check you are going to send out. After doing that, write out to whom you are going to write the check out to in the "Pay to the Order of" field. Underneath that field, you will notice there is an empty field with the word "Dollar" at the end of it. In that portion, you will be writing out the amount you are going to be paying in its legal written form. In the small box next to that field, you will be writing down the amount you are paying in its numerical form. At the very bottom of the check there is a "Memo" line that is not required; however, it can be used to specify some important information regarding the bill you are paying. For example, if you are paying your cell phone bill, you can write your cell phone account number with your cell phone carrier in the memo filed.
If you are attempting to make a withdrawal from your own TD Checking account, there are two options you may choose from. The first option is to follow the steps provided above and write a check made out to cash. By doing so, you are simply cashing a check against your account. The other option is to see a bank Teller at a local TD Bank location near you. You may obtain a Checking Withdrawal Slip from a teller and our teller will be more than happy to assist you with filling it out.
Hope this answers your question and have a nice day.
