Thanks for coming to TD Helps, Robert.
It sounds as though the Maker of the checks you are receiving has a Canadian-based U.S. Dollar account with us. To best assist you, we recommend connecting directly with the Maker of the checks as it would be their personal preference as to whether or not they would like to open a U.S.-based account to write you checks from. They certainly have this option if they would like. We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience in the meantime.
Thanks again for visiting us and enjoy your day.
