I do not want to change my address through the post office yet as I don't know what my permanent address will be when everything is finalized. Does it matter where I have my banking info sent?

Hi Mike. We'd be happy to help!
We're sorry to hear that you're going through a divorce. We know how challenging that can be and we're here to help.
Even if your new address is temporary, we recommend updating us with that information for both existing accounts or for a new one. This will prevent any statements or banking documents from being sent to an incorrect address. You have several options for updating your address on any existing accounts you may have with us. First, you can give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or stop in to see us at any of our Stores. To find one near you, please click here: https://go.td.com/1nq31dc. We'd be happy to update your address for you. If you'll be opening your new account or updating your address in one of our Stores, we simply ask that you bring in something showing your new address. It does not necessarily need to be anything showing an address change at the post office.
We also offer a self-service through your online banking. To start, log in by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq and then follow the instructions below.
- Click on the "Customer Service" tab, located on the top of your screen.
- Click on "Change Address, Phone, E-Mail Address".
- Change the necessary information and click "Send".
Once we've completed your address change, an email representative will send you a secure message confirming the change. After you've settled in your new permanent residence, you can just contact us again to do another address change.
If you any additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us here or through one of the methods above.
We wish you the best of luck, Mike! Take care.
