Thank you for stopping by TD Helps and congratulations on the purchase of your new home, Tara! We are more than happy to provide you with the steps to initiate a wire transfer.
To initiate a wire transfer from your personal savings account, you can visit any TD Bank Store. Please view http://bit.ly/TDStores for hours and locations near you. Once you are at your desired location, to send a domestic wire you will need to provide us the Name of the other financial institution as well as ABA routing number, the beneficiary address, the account number and account title to be credited.
Another option you may be able to use, is our Person-to-Person transfer feature via your Online Banking depending on the amount of the house down payment. This feature allows you to send money domestically to any account inside and outside TD Bank without having to visit a Store. . For the Terms and Conditions in addition to information on the payment methods and transfer limit amounts, please check http://bit.ly/1pADlWD. To use this feature, you must be enrolled in Online Banking. If you have not enrolled in Online Banking yet, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, your TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number, and your e-mail address. If you do not have a debit or ATM card, please call our 24/7 Digital Specialist at 1-800-493-7562 to enroll. Once you’ve enrolled for Online Banking, select the “Person-to-Person” tab to enroll for this specific feature.
Keep in mind that transfer fees may apply, for our fee schedule follow this link: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. If you are sending funds to another institution, we would also recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure no other additional information is required as well as to obtain information regarding any additional fees for their services. And please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
Thanks again for reaching out to us with your question, Tara. Please let us know if you have any further questions and good luck with your new home!
