Congratulations on your marriage, Angela and thanks for asking your question on TD Helps.
To change your name and have your married name appear on your account, we do require you to visit one of our TD Stores. You will need to bring a copy of your marriage certificate stating your name change and a valid photo ID (ex: Driver's license, Passport, State issued photo ID, etc.). The name change will take approximately 3-5 business days to be completed. After the change has been completed you will be able to request a new TD Bank Debit Card and checks with your new updated name. TD Bank Debit Card can be instantly issued at any TD Bank location or mail one out to your address on file. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a list of our TD Store locations and hours.
To have your new name reflect on your checks, you will need to reorder your checks once the change has been made. You have the option of placing a check order by using your online banking, calling us via telephone or visiting your local TD Bank Store.
To order checks via Online Banking for a personal account, please follow the steps below:
• Log into Online Banking by clicking on: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq
• Click on the ''Customer Service tab''
• Under ''Self Service'' section click on ''Order Checks.''
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking and wish to enroll you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).

To order checks via phone for both a personal account and a business account please call us at the number provided above or visit your local TD Bank. After your order is placed, checks typically take 7-10 business days to arrive to your address.
Please understand prices do vary and you will be provided at the time you place your order. Once your order is complete, charges will automatically be debited from your TD Bank account and your order will be shipped to the address on your account.
