I am traveling to Frankfurt, Switzerland and Hong Kong. So do you guys charge a flat fee for all the currencies that I will need when I use a ATM? Is it per use? And how does it work when making individual purchases?

We are happy to inform you that your Visa Debit Card is convenient, secure and rewarding- so you can shop and bank with confidence. You can use your debit card at millions of locations that accept VISA across the globe.
When traveling, you can make an ATM withdrawal from any machine that displays the VISA or PLUS logo. We encourage you to check out our current fee schedule, http://bit.ly/1cTejgt, as it outlines any applicable fees that may come into play when you use your debit card out of the country. If you are unable to find an ATM that is compatible, with the TD Bank Debit Card, it may be used to obtain a VISA Cash Advance. There is a 3% foreign transaction fee that is applied for transactions processed internationally and will be posted in US currency. This includes all of the TD Bank Visa Credit Cards we offer, except for the First Class Visa Signature Card, in which there is no international transaction fee.
If you wish to order foreign currency, please visit your local TD Store to place this order. To find a TD Bank near you, we suggest you check out http://bit.ly/TDStores. We recommend placing the order well in advance prior to your trip due since it may take at least two business days before it is ready for pick up. Please note, there is a fee for this service and because all fees are subject to change, we ask that you confirm fee amounts with your local TD Store at the time of transaction. Also, as a TD Bank Customer there is no limits on the amounts of purchase foreign currency purchased.
To avoid any interruptions to your TD Debit Card usage, we request that you place a travel notification on your account. You can do so by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000 or visiting a local TD Bank Store.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the travel notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first login to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center.” In your message, please include the dates and destination(s) you will be traveling. If you are not enrolled for Online Banking, you can do so for free here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. You will need your Social Security number, TD Bank ATM/Visa Debit Card, your account number and e-mail address. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues.
