I had opened a borderless plan on my Canadian account and I now need to open a U.S. chequing account to get a U.S. debit card so when my husband and myself visit the U.S. for the winter as snowbirds..we have access to cross border banking. I clicked on I am a Canadian resident on the site where it says what region are you but it wouldn't let me go any farther. If you could help it would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to TD Helps, Nancy. We're pleased to hear you're looking to take advantage of our Cross Border Banking and we'll be glad to help you do so! Since you mentioned you were having trouble with opening the US account on the website, the next best option would be to contact our Cross Border Banking Specialists directly. They are available 24/7 at 1-877-700-2913 and would be happy to help you open the account during the call. We apologize if this causes any inconvenience. When you call you will need to provide your name, street address, date of birth, Social Insurance number and valid identification to complete the account opening process. Please keep in mind that your Canadian consumer credit profile will also be used to verify your identity. We hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.
