Is there a limit? Do I have to go to a bank to do this?

Thanks for stopping by TD Helps, Chris. We apologize for any confusion you experienced with our online transfers but we'll be happy to help clear this up for you.
First, we'd like to let you know that TD Bank has placed limits on the amount available for external transfers for our Customers' protection, as well as our own.
For the information on limits regarding this service, please check out this link: http://bit.ly/1pADlWD (Pg. 3. section 1.16). Generally, all customers are supplied with our Standard Limits for this service. The limit may be increased automatically based on your account history at the discretion of the bank. Also, your individual transaction limits are available once you log in to your TD Bank account online; please log in here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Click on the information icon to the right of the amount box when entering this information for a transfer.
If you find you have any questions about our Transfer services, you're more than welcome to contact a Tech Support Specialist 24/7 at 800-493-7562, or stop in at any nearby TD Bank Store by finding a location here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
With that being said, we would recommend that you visit any TD Bank Store nearby you, as you would be more than welcome to initiate a Wire Transfer while there. To do so, we recommend that you request the wiring instructions from the financial institution to which you are sending the funds before visiting a Store. In general, for a domestic wire you'll need the name, address and ABA/Routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number.
Keep in mind that wire transfer fees may apply. For our current Fee Schedule please see here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. We would also recommend checking with the other financial institution to obtain information regarding any additional fees for their services.
If you have any questions at all, feel free to give us a ring 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and when calling this line we can also make an appointment for you at your preferred time and Store location, if you like!
Thanks again for writing in, Chris. Best of luck and have a great week!
