If someone used my debit card without my authorization, and I canceled my old card and replaced it with a new one, will that previous card be declined if someone tried to use my old card number?

Happy Saturday, Amanda, and welcome to TD Helps!
We completely understand your concerns, and we're happy to provide you with some peace of mind.
If fraud recently occurred on your TD Bank Debit Card, and that card has now been closed and replaced with a new card, please don't worry! Once a debit card is closed, transactions can no longer be debited from that card.
Generally speaking, if you have a new card in your possession, you old card should be closed; however, we know how important it can be to ensure that a debit card has been closed when fraud has occurred, and you're more than welcome to connect with us directly so that we may confirm this information with you!
If you'd like, you're first welcome to connect with one of our Banking Specialist, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000. You may also visit your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, to speak with a Customer Service Representative. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We hope you found this information helpful, Amanda, and thanks again for stopping by TD Helps!
Enjoy the start to your weekend!
