Welcome to TD Helps, Gudrun and thanks for opening an account with TD. We'd be happy to help.
As you've mentioned that you have checks from when you initially opened your account, your account number is listed as the second set of numbers on the bottom of your check. You can take a look at an example here: http://bit.ly/1qH2i2K.
Once you are ready to enroll, you can do so by following this link: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Before starting your enrollment, you will need your account number, Social Security Number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number and email address compete the form.
The first step is to select "Personal" or "Business" from the drop down menu and then select "Continue." The next page you will be taken to is our Online Banking Service Agreement. In order to continue to the next page you must select the check box next to "By clicking the check box you:." Once you select "Accept at the bottom of the page you will next be asked to enter your personal information that we mentioned previously. You will then be asked to create a user name, password and security questions. After you complete all the steps, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you have any trouble enrolling or you're missing some of the information needed to sign up, please feel free to contact us directly 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Representatives will be happy to help you enroll. If you prefer, you are also able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours for help. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Gudrun and have a good day.
