Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today, Joseph. We'd be more than happy to assist you in setting up your Online Banking for your HSA account.
If you have not been able to enroll for Online Banking and wish to enroll for Online Banking for your personal accounts, you may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security Number and your email address. Once at the page, please select "Personal" from the drop down box. When you select continue, you will have to read and accept the Online Banking Service Agreement. Then you will be asked to enter your personal information including the items mentioned earlier and to create a user name and password. Finally you will be asked to create three security questions. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
If you are still having trouble enrolling for Online Banking, you may contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.

I have attempted to enroll in online banking for my TD Bank HSA account, and the process fails telling me the account is invalid. I know I have entered the card number correctly; I have entered the HSA account number that I have two ways - with and without the "hyphen" included after the third digit in the ten digit number. I am presuming that the account type is "savings" but is it passbook or the other option for savings (which I cannot recall right now and cannot go back to look at, as I have been blocked from further attempts to create an online account) - I tried with the option that was not passbook (since the account DOES NOT have a passbook!)

Thanks for writing in, Ray. We'd be happy to answer your question.
We apologize for any confusion, the proper account type for an HSA account should be "Checking", not "Savings."
As you mentioned that you have tried multiple times with no luck, most likely, you have exceeded maximum tries for self-enrollment.
To best assist you, we recommend contacting us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 to speak with a Banking Specialist. Since this is considered an unsecure forum, we don't have the access to your account information that we need to help. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you online in no time.
If you prefer speaking with us in person, you may also set up your Online Banking by visiting your local TD Bank Store during normal lobby hours. At the Store we will be able to verify you with your valid photo ID and assist you with the Online Banking enrollment. To find a TD Bank near you please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this information answers your question. Please let us know should you have any further questions. Have a great rest of your day!
