Happy Wednesday, Johan, and welcome to TD Helps!
It sounds as though you may be looking to transfer funds to an account you may hold with another financial institution, and if this is the case, we'll be more than happy to help!
Here at TD Bank, we offer an external transfer feature to our Customer's looking to transfer funds to or from another account they have outside of TD Bank, and to access this feature, you'll first want to log into your Personal Online Banking. To do so, you're welcome to use this ink: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. If you haven't yet enrolled, that's okay, as you can use the link here: https://go.td.com/1lU2qfY to get started! To fully enroll, you will need your account number, debit card number, a valid email address, and your Social Security number.
Once you have logged in, towards the top of your screen, you should see a 'Transfer' tab. From here, to access our external transfer feature, you'll want to click on the 'Transfer to or from your external accounts' hyperlink in the 'Help and Related Tasks' box. If you have never used this feature before, you will need to add your external account by clicking on 'Add a New Account', and once this has been completed, you may then enter in the amount of your transfer, the 'From' and 'To' account, followed by the date, as well as a memo, if you'd like to include one.
It's important to note that when sending an external transfer, a fee may be assessed, and we'd like to recommend that you check out our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg.
Just in case you're looking to send funds to a friend or family member, and not another account you may own with another institution, you're welcome to use our Send Money feature. TD Bank's Send Money feature is a free person to person transfer service, which you can also access right from your Online Banking!
Once you have logged in using the same links provided above, instead of clicking on the 'Transfers' tab, you'll want to click on the 'Send Money' tab, which you can also find towards the top of your screen. If you have never used this feature before, you may need to accept some terms and agreements. After doing so, and you have access to this feature, you'll have the ability to send funds to anyone in the United States, or you may also request or even split funds!
The first step you'll need to take will be to add your contact, which you can do by clicking the 'Add New Contact' button towards the right side of your screen. Simply enter in their first and last name, and then either their phone number, email address, or even their account number. It's important to note that the contact information you provide is how your payee will receive the funds, either directly to their account, or by email or text message. Once this has been completed, you'll be brought back to the main Send Money page, where you may then click on their name, to begin the transfer process!
If you have any trouble at all making a Send Money transfer, or an External Transfer, our Tech Support Specialist are here to help! To reach a Specialist, you may simply dial 800-493-7562, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In addition to the transfer options above, you may also be interested in sending a wire transfer, which can be completed at your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR. Similar to an external transfer, a wire transfer may incur a fee, and we invite you to check out our Fee Schedule above for more information.
We sincerely hope you found all this information helpful, Johan, and please let us know if we can answer any additional questions or concerns you may have.
