Tomorrow is independence day. Will my check clear during the day tomorrow, or should I anticipate it clearing Wednesday? I deposited a check on Saturday via an ATM outside of a TD Bank before 8 PM. Today is Monday July 3rd and the check has not cleared. Tomorrow is independence day. Will my check clear during the day tomorrow, or should I anticipate it clearing Wednesday? Good morning, Justice. Thanks for coming to TD Helps for your answers today!
We apologize for any confusion this may be causing you, and we'll be happy to explain. Typically speaking, deposits made through the ATM prior to 8:00 PM, will be available the next banking day.
As you stated that you made your deposit on Saturday evening before 8:00 PM, typically, your deposit would be accepted for deposit on Monday, and then be credited fully to your account on Tuesday. However, please note that today, July 4th, is a federal holiday, which may cause a delay in funds availability. For more information, we invite you to check out our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: https://go.td.com/1kb17UQ. On pages 40 – 44, you will find our Funds Availability Policy.
Please note that as TD Helps is not considered a secure forum, we are unable to access your account to confirm funds availability for your account specifically. For further assistance, we ask that you contact a Banking Specialist directly. While our Store locations may be closed today for the holiday, we are always available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-888-751-9000.
In addition to calling, if you currently have access to your Online Banking, you may also send us a Secure Message. To send a secure message, first log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
We hope this helped clear up any confusion, Justice. Have a great Fourth of July!
