Thanks for coming by TD Helps. We'd be happy to help provide details regarding your inquiry.
Typically, when a check payment is presented and there are insufficient funds in your account to cover the payment amount, there is a possibility it could be returned the day after it is presented. A copy of the returned check will then be mailed to the receiver and they have the option to re-deposit the check if they wish. You may want to connect with them directly.
If you have any additional questions please give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit any TD location to speak with a Specialist in person. To find a nearby TD as well as their hours please view: http://bit.ly/TDStores.

so TD Bank won't redeposit the check again, it will just go to who the check was made out to and they have the option to redeposit that check when funds are available?

Thanks for replying to your TD Helps question.
When an item is returned, it will be returned back to the depositor's Financial Institution. The check may then automatically be attempted again or sent back to the payee (decision is made by the payee's Financial Institution). We recommend contacting the person or company in which you made the check payable to for further guidance.
Hope this helps and have a nice day.
