In reply to Cory, Sumter
We appreciate you bringing your concerns to TD Helps today, Cory.
We'll be more than happy to clear up any confusion in regard to your deposit.
We'd first like to take a moment to explain that the type of deposit you make can determine when your funds will be available.
Direct deposits, even if they are still reflected in your 'Pending' transactions, are available on the same business day that they are credited to your account. Similarly, cash deposits made with a Teller are also made available the same business day.
Check deposits; however, work a little differently. When you deposit a check, the first $100 is made available right way. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes.
In the event that you make a deposit through a TD Bank ATM, cash or check, the first $100 dollars is credited immediately while the remainder of your deposit should be applied to the balance on the following business day. Unlike the ATM, the Mobile Deposit feature does not credit any funds initially. The funds will be credited on the following business day.
In your case, as you stated that you performed a deposit into your Savings account before 8pm on a Friday, the funds should be available in your account on Saturday; however, please know that there are some exceptions. If you'd like to review our Personal Deposit Account agreement, you can do so by clicking here: https://go.td.com/2nf0JAI. On pages 40-44 you can find our Funds Availability Policy.
If you would prefer to speak with a Specialist in regard to your deposit, you can always call 1-888-751-9000 to reach a Banking Specialist. For your convenience; they are available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Customer Service Representatives are also happy to help at any number of our Store locations, and you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest location, as well as their lobby hours.
If you'd prefer, you also have the option of sending us a Secure Message. To send a secure message, you will first want to log into your TD Bank online profile by clicking here: https://go.td.com/1eaISlq. Once you've successfully logged in, look for the 'Message Center' on the left hand side and select 'Send a secure message'.
If you have downloaded our mobile banking app for your smartphone, you may also use this method to send a secure message. From your Mobile Banking, log in and select 'Send a Secure Message' from the side Menu. We generally respond within 24 hours or less.
Thanks again for stopping by today, Cory. Enjoy the start to your weekend!
