Great question, Laura! We are glad to help today! If you've been a TD Customer for longer than 30 days and your check deposits were made with a Teller or a TD ATM, the first $100 is made available immediately. However; if your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held up to 10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of the deposit, the rest of the funds will be credited to your account on the following business day. Since you mentioned that the deposit was made before 8:00PM then it would be considered a deposit made on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays therefore it should be available the following day. Please keep in mind that deposits made through mobile banking will not have the first $100 available on the same business day. In most cases, the full amount becomes available the following business day. Please note there are exceptions that may cause delays in your funds availability, we invite you to look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ. On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to let us know. Have a great afternoon.
