Thank you for considering TD Bank Daniela. We'll be glad to provide you with some information today.
Here at TD Bank, we offer many different types of accounts, both Checking Accounts and Saving Accounts. Please take a look here https://go.td.com/29HKKlx to review the current Checking Accounts that we offer and here https://go.td.com/1l6nLQ7 for the current Savings Accounts that we offer. We also invite you to take a look here: https://go.td.com/1vW1xnU for help selecting a checking account that is the best fit for you; we also have a Savings Selector Tool https://go.td.com/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Please note; there is no set amount that you need to open an account with us. However, some accounts do require a daily minimum balance to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. Please also note, there aren't any fees to be charged when making a deposit or withdrawal from eligible Checking or Savings accounts. We encourage you to take a look at the links provided above to check out any applicable fees associated with accounts.
Additionally, there is no minimum amount required to open an account with us. However, depending on the type of account you choose to open, you may be asked to maintain a minimum daily balance to avoid a monthly maintenance fee. If you choose an account with a minimum daily balance, we recommend opening the account with that amount as an initial deposit.
Once you have selected the account(s) you'd like to open, if you are a non-U.S. Resident (or U.S. Citizen living outside the Country for several years), you'll have to visit one of our many convenient Stores the next time you visit the States. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but please click here: https://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find a TD Bank that you may visit.
Once you are able to visit a Store, as it sounds like you are a U.S. Citizen, you'll need to bring a valid U.S. photo identification with you such as a U.S. Passport or Driver's License. We also recommend connecting with the TD Store you'll be visiting for details on any additional information and/or documents that may be needed to open an account.
If you've only been abroad for a short period of time and still have a valid U.S. address that you can use and have access to, you may be able to open an account with us online or over the phone. Feel free to use the links above to open an account online, or if you have any difficulty you can reach us from outside of the United States at 1-856-751-9000 or 1-215-569-0518 via landline with an Operator's assistance. We are here 24/7 and would be happy to help answer any questions or open an account for you.
We hope this information is helpful, Daniela. Have a great day!
