Thank you so much for joining us here on TD Helps today, David. We're happy to clear up some confusion.
While another person will not get your funds, the payment may not post to your account either. An exact routing and account number are needed to ensure that funds are properly deposited. This means that the payment by Chase may be returned to them.
Routing numbers are based upon the TD location where you originally opened your account. For a list of our current routing numbers please check out http://go.td.com/1cmRPoF. If you're not certain which TD Bank you opened your account, you may give us a call 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Our Banking Specialists would be more than happy to confirm this number with you. As always, you can visit us during lobby hours for further assistance. For a list of Store locations and hours, check out: http://go.td.com/TDStores.
We are always here to help, David. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any additional questions.
